Lean Awareness Level One Introduction
Level 1 – Lean Awareness
Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying, “We can’t solve a problem using the same level of thinking that created it”.
Every problem, whether at home, work, or in a business environment, often requires a paradigm shift to occur in your level of thinking before a successful solution can be found. The Lean Awareness module of the “10 Steps to become a Lean Enterprise” program will help you gain this shift by providing a foundational understanding of your business challenges.
There are literally hundreds of Lean tools and techniques available today, and thousands of websites offer their unique solution to implementing Lean principles into the business environment. Many of these Lean training programs take their learners through several knowledge levels about Lean tools and techniques. However, their learners often report feeling overwhelmed by an overload of unessential information. Moreover, the biggest area of concern with many of these programs is that even after completing Lean training, most learners still do not know how to apply the Lean tools correctly inside their own organizations.
Long before we developed the “10 Steps to become a Lean Enterprise” model we recognized there was a need to identify the most essential tools and techniques that were capable to delivering the “best bang for the buck” in the shortest amount of time. Every organization is searching for this critical information.
What does a business need to do to improve their organization, impact their bottom line and increase value for their customers? What, where, and how, does a business start to do these things?
To answer these questions, we researched different types of Lean projects completed throughout a several year time span, and we also drew upon thousands of hours of consulting experience. We found that the most effective Lean projects had one thing in common. In over 90% of these Lean projects, the most successful organizations had initially only implemented ten of the available Lean tools and techniques to take their organizations to the next level and beyond. What are these ten critical Lean tools and techniques? Our Lean Awareness training module will give you the answers in a focused and to the point manner. Our program will guide you, using a step by step approach, to understand the key concepts involved in the “10 Steps to become a Lean Enterprise”.
Our Lean Awareness module is a training tool that can stand on its own. However, after completion of the Lean Awareness module, you have the option to choose to continue to build upon your new understandings with the Lean Practitioner Program. In the Lean Practitioner Program you will be taught how to effectively implement the most successful, up to date techniques available from the Lean toolbox.
